Some Second Hand Devices Contain Bank Account Details.
An Investigation from CPP, data security professionals, have uncovered that cellular devices are getting distributed on prior to individual details such as PIN numbers and bank account particulars have been taken off.
Some items found on ebay being sold with sim cards, second hand have been found to contain bank details and card details.
The study urged consumers to try harder to remove all details from their devices before selling them on and must be aware that the only way to do this is to do what is called a master reset. But also as a cautionary measure check bank statements regularly for suspicious transactions, which you should be doing any way.
